25 Uses for Tea Tree Oil

What is Tea Tree Oil?

Tea tree oil, also known as Melaleuca alternifoliais, is an essential oil that has been around for quite a while but not until the past decade has its healing benefits been catching on like wildfire. The oil is extracted from a plant native to Australia and cannot be found naturally occurring elsewhere.
Tea tree oil should NEVER be ingested and is only to be used as a topical remedy.

What are the healing benefits of Tea Tree Oil?

Tea tree oil is a “jack of all trades” as far as remedies go. The easiest way to grasp the benefits is to think: skin issues + tea tree oil = healing (in most cases).

Product Review: Pond's Cold Cream

Hello Beauts! I’m back! After a few months of not posting anything! I’ve been so busy about work and there are some drastic changes in my life these past few months.

Well I’m not here today to talk about dramas so let’s start!

I love! LOVE! to experiment with different looks, specially when it comes to eye make up. I’m working in a hotel right now and i love my new job! wohooo. Wearing a reasonable amount of make up is a must because we need to look presentable and pretty? lol. But one of the hassle side of putting eye make up is the “taking it off” part. When I started putting eye make up what i usually do to take it off is just wash my face and eyelids with regular soap and I always look like a panda after.

So I started looking for some good make up remover. I tried several make up wipes and towelettes but those were not good enough to take all the gunk off my face.
I was able to ran through some reviews about the ponds cold cream. So I went to the nearest mall (Ayala, Cebu) to get some. This cream is not available in local drugstore (booooooo). I went to Somera, this store sells American products from make up down to skincare goodies. I was lucky to find pond’s cold cream, it comes in different sizes but I got the regular since I just want to try it out. I forgot how much I got for, probably 400-500 pesos. I know it’s not that cheap but I tell you this holy grail will last you FOREVER!

what i love:

  • It works!
  • it totally gets rid of my waterproof makeup with no tugging, faster than my cleansing oils, wipes and towelettes.
  • No allergic reactions. my face abhor oily stuff, but this one aint oily...it's creamy!
  • Moisturizing. i've used some cleansing stuff that left me with that stretchy feel after.
  • Leaves me with clean, radiant, supple skin after cleansing.
  • Unlike my cleansing oil, this doesn't blur my eyes.

what i don’t:

  • The scent. it's not that strong but I just hate using stuff that smells.
  • Packaging may be cute, but it can be unhygienic. it's prone to double-dipping. probably they can have this in a pump-bottle?

TIPS:
  • To avoid double dipping, you can use a spatula or a cotton bud to scoop out some cream from the tub
  • If you won't be washing your face right after using this and you hate the slightly-oily feel, you can use wet wipes after the facial tissue.
  • Massage the cream slowly onto your face, and see the makeup melt right before your eyes. the massaging is also good for blood circulation.
  • If you're wearing waterproof eyemakeup, put a bit on your eyelids and massage gently. be gentle in wiping it off with a tissue, you don't need to tug anyway since the makeup already melted with the cream.

I’m giving this product 5 stars! Can’t tell you more about how much I love this!
